IMPCON AS CONSULTANT AND OWNER'S ENGINEER OF M/S AMBUJA CEMENT LTD FOR GARE PALMA IV/8 PROJECT
It may not be out of place to mention here that based on due diligence done by Impcon M/S Ambuja Cement Ltd (ACL) could get the Gare Palma IV/8 opencast project. Impcon also prepared EMP and detailed project reports of the Gare IV/8 project and also had been awarded the job of Owner's Engineer by M/S ACL to supervise the job of MDO for this project.

VARIOUS STUDY REPORTS PREPARED BY IMPCON
Impcon has submitted a unique study report comparing economics between two alternative transport systems i.e truck transport and conveyor system with DSI snake high angle conveyor for Kathara Project under CCL. DSI snake high angle conveyor is a new technology being planned by CMPDI. Impcon is proud to claim that they are the only consulting co, who has the specific knowledge on DSI snake High Angle conveyor technology. Such type of report with video by Impcon with application of google earth, cost calculations, plotting contour at the site has shown a new way and shall be an example, which might not have been yet done by any Indian or Foreign consultant.

VARIOUS ADVANCED MINING TECHNOLOGIES, WHICH IMPCON CAN OFFER
a) Application of High Angle Conveyor technology in opencast and also from deep underground.
b) In-pit crushing and conveying (IPCC)
c) Ropecon technology for very long distances out of pit transport (more than 20 km) achieving capacity up to 10,000 tonnes per hour
.d) Application of UHMW-PE liner on dumpers and silo for smooth flow of sticky pay-minerals and save dumper body from corrosion.
LARCODEMS - MOST ADVANCED WASHING TECHNOLOGY FOR COAL AND IRON ORE
Our Director S.K.Bag had been representative of JMC, UK and he is having tie-up with M/S JMC, UK for LARCODEMS technology. LARCODEMS (Large Coal Dense Media Separation), which is a very efficient & most advanced dense media separation system being developed by British Coal. After British Coal had been dissolved the LARCODEMS technology had been acquired by Larcodems International & JMC, UK as their partner. LARCODEMS is basically a cyclone system in a cylinder, where magnetite enters from the bottom by a pump, which creates a vortex within cylinder initially, and thereafter coal/iron ore is fed from the top. With this arrangement, the pressure of separating media can be controlled and pressure is not developed by increasing the height of the system. This makes LARCODEMS very compact and also modular. In the current scenario, there has been a lot of thrust on coal/iron washing. LAECODEMS vessel is having very high organic efficiency & has reference to achieving 98 – 99% efficiency. Apart there are a lot of other advantages regarding capital cost, operating cost, and savings in time for the erection of the modular system of LARCODEMS.
SPECIAL CAPABILITY OF IMPCON ON DESIGN OF MINE STRUCTURES
It requires specific knowledge and experience for the structural design of mine structures, which are special in mining. Since, now underground mines are limited in nos, hence, it is very difficult to resource the design expertise of specialized structures, as follows:
i) Winder foundation for Winder for underground mine.
ii) Headgear structure for winder
iii) Shaft out-fitting
iv) Inclined skip haulage
v) Special Overground bunker of 10,000 Te or more capacity
vi) Silo & RLS for rail loading
Impcon is having a team of experienced civil & structural engineers, who have successfully implemented such designs in several mines in India on behalf of CMPDI/CIL. The structures and shaft fittings had been successfully designed & erected and also presently in operation in coal and copper mines.
The quantity estimate of civil structures for tender preparation and tender scrutiny for such jobs requires special knowledge and experience. Impcon is confident to offer such services to any organization, if needed.
